    Since opening in 1989, our goal has been to create and nurture a community of talented animation artists. Using the fundamentals of traditional animation and the availability of new advances in technology, Animatus has melded classical techniques and high tech computer power to create a wide choice in visual styles and imagery.

    Nonlinear Editing

    Whether using traditional or digital elements, we edit our own projects as well as industrial films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos all in house using the latest NLE technology.

    Our NLE system utilizes In:sync's Speed Razor 2000X. It is one of the most powerful nonlinear video editing and compositing packages on Windows 2000. Speed Razor is the choice of video and film editors, animators, and other cutting-edge professionals for video editing, real-time audio mixing and effects compositing. Professionals throughout the world have used In:sync's award-winning products in the making of feature films, broadcast television productions, and event videos.

    Our NLE suite uses a complement of the latest software versions of Adobe's After Effects, Avid's Elastic Reality and Boris Effects by Artel. To get that "film look" on video, we use a high performance plug-in called Film FX.

    For audio production we use Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge and Cool Edit Pro. We own several of the best sound effect libraries with over 9,000 sounds. Included are the Janus Professional Sound Library, the Warner Brothers and Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Sound FX libraries. We also have several music soundtrack library collections as well.
